UNLV Dance

Another loser.

What can they do to punish me.

At 801 a woman in front of me in line at the ticket booth was arguing with the clerk over where she wanted to sit. Jesus do people ever make plans. Needless to say this abortion started 21 minutes late and I am done before kickoff. I love the dance and maybe because of this personal offense I was predisposed to not like it, I didn't. The UNLV dance department has done some great work in the past and I hope they will in the future, but not this night, the celebration of their 30th year. This menagerie including back patting endorsements to include politicians and further interuptions to an over patronizing evening.

OK the dance was energetic, semicreative and well costumed. Five first half pieces, all girls, 19 in all and they all give it a go...some better than others. Not a ton of creativity, one piece looked like a thievery from Cirque Soliel. The girls were hanging from ropes and cords and gave me the impression that something could go wrong here and one of them could hang herself. Don't yell it me, that is what idea they put in my mind. Whose fault is that ?

I still love the dance and thank you girls for your effort, some tightening up of schedule and programming could have moved this into the B category. D- 61 almost failed.
