WHAT A SATURDAY

My wife Janet is the branch manager of the Paseo Verde library in Henderson, I actually discovered her in a Carneige library in Vermillion, South Dakota 1971. Anyway lots of good things happen at libraries, this one had a fund raiser selling Christmas trees and baskets and goodies on Friday night. At 630 am Saturday I was offered the opportunity to clean up, I did. What a great place to learn and experience wonderful things at your library, harp concerts, movies, books, Mitch Albom and a plethora of new horizons. A+ 100 for this one.

Raced Saturday morning to the Mirage poker room for the usual morning Omaha Hi Lo game, they (staff and players) treated me right. 100 A+

Raced to the Nevada High School football championship game at the Silver Bowl, credentialed myself, raced for the press box buffett and a lop sided game. Got to love a team wearing my favorite color (Bishop Gorman), orange pants and orange jerseys, they won over McQueen big not the worlds greatest matchup, but the press box kept out the wind. Nice entertainment experience 99 A+. Left at half.

Raced to the ballet at CCSN, the fall dance concert 2007. This is a quasi-student show led by their mentor, Kelly Roth who heads the dance deparment. This guy is superman, he dances, he produces, he writes, he creates, he thinks, he teaches, he leads, he follows, he is a genius. Anyway they start 8 minutes late and have a 22 minute 15 minute intermission to piss me off but they do a nice show. Student dancers, great production and creativity, nice music, I loved it. 85 B

Raced to the Red Rock casino where the rap music in the parking lot brings ghetto life to west Las Vegas. Picked up some free stuff from a nice staff, unlike their management. 79 C+ marginal entertainment.

Raced to the Orleans Arena for the best hockey game of the year, Las Vegas 2 Idaho 1, great effort shorthanded by both teams with a story book scenario unfolding for the desired end in this A+ 100 day.
