THE SUNCOAST PRESENTS MUSICLA HISTORY TOUR A TRIBUTE TO THE BEATLES SUNCOAST SHOWROOM. That is what my tickets said and that was about right.
A somewhat consistant renewel of this music is mandatory and I can't get enought of it.
I have seen a number of "Beatles" groups and it's not the group, it's the music I seek. No new music here and that is what the full house wanted on Sunday night...they got it...sensational to see an 80 year old couple Twist and Shout on the finale.
What do I say here......? Bring it on, do it again, THANK YOU SUN COAST !
ONE writer said "music for the ages".
ONE writer said the greatness of this music is the lyrics.
ONE said Paul McCartney is the greatest composer of all time....followed by Tchiakvosky, Sedaka, Mozart and Vivaldi.
Ed Bruce said you are all right.
All this stuff from a short decade in the 60's plays forever and the simplicity of the titles....I Want to Hold Your Hand, Imagine, She Love You, No Reply, Can't Buy Me Love, Here Comes the Sun continues to overwhelm anything in history.
These four (2 from the U K, one from Australia and one from Las Vegas) were good and not too
loud, a tad dark and only 3 minutes late. Can't figure out how they got together or if the have a Beatles tangent name but I am greatful for one more fine evening of entertainment. They did the two costume change theme in their 84 minute set to include the Brown coats piece from Shea stadium 1966, first time I have seen this. John's character stood out as the best singer and we escaped with a left handed Paul not singing Yesterday.
Voices and audio mix a little weak at the begining and it improved only slightly thruout....there is a paramont responsibilty here to be true to lyrics and chords and the lads tottered on going over the line.....their effort was acceptable.
Gee I love this music and when George when sang Here Comes the Sun it again brought tears to my eyes. I remain the second biggest Beatles fan of all time next to my handball opponent Dennis Mitchell. You can catch Dennis's radio show and info on his web http://www.beatlesradioshow.com/
Still the greatest stuff of any lifetime. 96 A
