I personally have seen Frank, Dean and Sammy and we are looking at the top level of entertainment especially here in Las Vegas....the bar is high !
This revived show at the Plaza downtown Las Vegas offers another level of this great history of entertainment here ! Wonderful to see a large crowd, a dinner show and people my age enjoying themselves....this is must see show...good production, good sound, 12 piece orchestra and a passable script....again I would have been happier just to hear any of the three actor-singers JUST SING....alone. Not the deal here !
Joey Bishop I could do without and really do without the Marlyn Monroe character....there would have been a great use of time with Sammy or Frank doing 2 more numbers.
Big history at the Plaza from Wayne Newton doing five shows a night to, the great Nudes on Ice, to the late Del Shannon and Lou Chrstie. I did the buffet in this room 20 years ago.
This was a fine production with live music...could have been even more....started on time, 93 minutes....good lighting and excellent sound.....too much screwing around in attempts at humor and ancient stereotypes....caricutures of times gone by. I liked it !
