10th Annual Dance in the Desert Festival Las Vegas 2008
How great it is here in Las Vegas to have so many wonderful entertainment experiences available !
This one was sensational !
This the child of Community College of Southern Nevada daddy and Director of dance, Kelly Roth (one of my heroes).
This, a three program set: 11 pieces Friday night, 15 pieces Saturday afternoon and 15 more Satuday night.....pretty much no dead weight in any of it. Many California and Arizonia dancers contributed and without exception all well choreographedand creative with lights, props and hard work. I was able to view 2 and a half of the programs and enjoyed the thinking, hard work and presentation of so many great athletes.
Some of this sponsered by a grant from The National Endowment for the Arts....whatever, money well spent. I love the dance and this mostly modern with a a touch of classical including many new works.......gee..... the creative mind continues its work...thank you !
From a technical standpoint the continuity of this project was nearly flawless, so many bodies and lights and music in such a short periord of time....it you missed any of it you missed one of the best shows of the year.
