HOW THE OTHER HALF LOVES

by ed bruce edbrucevegas@yahoo.com http://www.lventertainment.blogspot.com/

A PLAY

LAS VEGAS LITTLE THEATRE

IN CHINATOWN OFF SPRING MOUNTAIN ROAD 362 7996

This is like an ad for them....it is...you should go.....damn good community theatre !

Now............the play is best described by a piece in the program about the playwright....Sir Alan Ayckbourn (1939-)........... "an English playwright and director, born in London. One of Britain's most successful and prolific dramatists, he had his first play produced in 1959 and since then has written more than 50 works for theatre. He is known for the wit and ingenuity with which he portrays the foibles and anxieties of England's suburban middle class and their conflicts with those in the social spheres above and below them. " That tells you about as well as anyone could what we have in this play. This is extremely well written, accurate and all encompassing it gives you more than I could.

With a "Sir" the implication is a person of accomplishment and I thank LVLT for digging up this fine script and producing a complicated play.

The big deal here was the production with three couples acting on the same set....yet independent of the other couples....you have to see it to get it.....they did a hell of a job and first time actor here John Pinelli stole the show. The simple or not so simple blocking and timing of the actors (so as to not run into or OVER each other) was very very effective. All the actors were good and did a true effort to the English accent. I really enjoyed this and recommend it to the world....LVLT is often off the beaten path, it has a history of credibility and trying different themes. I salute them.

A tad late 4 minutes ......94 A
