How many flights are there from Tallinn to Las Vegas ? Had to look it up...Estonia straight east of Sweden....capitol Tallinn....lots of wonderful string players !
Started on time....59 strings and a bell for a short 10 minute opener Cantus, in Memory of Benjamin Britten...I loved it. Next 35 minutes Piano Concerto No. 3 in C. Major, Op. 26 from 23 year old Joyce Yang....full orchestra Sergei Prokofiev...another great piece of music I have now heard in my lifetime.
Made a terrible mistake .....left at halftime for the hockey game....worst decesion in my lifetime next to not defecting to Canada during the Viet Nam war. Remember intermission is an opportunity to leave and this time I did....no intermissions are the answer !
Symphony No. 2 Jean Sibelius....four movements...I know it was sensational....wish I had stayed !
