Pretty nice premise.....Gershwin, Webber, Rodgers and Hammerstein....PLUS !
This could have been better....it could have been on time ....it could have had a less than 23 minute intermission.....BUT IT DIDN'T.
None the less....great music...great voices (5).....two keyboards....not ( too ) interferring drums and bass.
Neil Berg gets an A+ by playing the Andrew Lloyd Webber part of composer-husband to songbird Rita Harvey....what a treat she was....the four other vocalists also with plenty of Broadway history music talent.
These short pieces introduced by Berg (almost over introduced)...a plus which I personally like.
It was long..... with all the dead time....the sound great in Ham Hall at UNLV but there were a couple of loud lapses....maybe 500 in the crowd.....a stretch.....how and who will they sell this to in the new downtown arena-theatre ?
Good stuff 91 A- for late !
