LAS VEGAS, NV – Monday, September 13, 2010 – The Las Vegas Locomotives announced today Rock and Roll icons Sugar Ray will perform at halftime during their season home opener against the Florida Tuskers, Saturday September 18 at 8pm.
Sugar Ray will be the first of four bands to provide halftime entertainment at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas during the 2010 season.
After a five-year hiatus, Sugar Ray is back and better than ever. The Southern California-based band makes its long awaited return with “MUSIC FOR COUGARS,” an exuberant reiteration of the band’s signature sound, with particular focus on songcraft and sonic invention.
Locos fans will enjoy entertainment every game day with the introduction of “The UFL Experience”.
“The Locomotives will be providing an interactive Fan Fest experience before each home game,” said Christy Lambright, Director of Events and Game Day Operations. “Fans can expect musical and entertainment performances, interactive inflatables, exhibitions and much more.
Locomotives fans are invited out before the game from 5.45pm to 7pm for “The UFL Experience” to a thrilling, carnival-like atmosphere with fun events for the whole family.

Yellow Brick Road is a Classic Rock band based in Las Vegas, NV, dedicated to the live recreation of legendary music from the 70s and 80s. Formed in the summer of 1997, the band started as an Elton John tribute act, drawing their name from John’s masterpiece Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.
Guests at “The UFL Experience” will enjoy the sweet sounds from the marching band Vegas Vanguards. There will be various carnival-like activities, such as face painting, stilt walkers, balloon artists, and a special performance by the “LocoMotion”, the Las Vegas Locos Cheerleaders.
Before the game inside the stadium, Bellevoxx, an all-female singing group, will perform the national anthem.
