BERNARD H. GADDIS....your place in history is secure !
Gaddis the founder, dirctor and star dancer with the LVCDT at the peak of his powers this weekend with a three day four piece world class dance program at the west Las Vegas Library Theatre.
Gee this is great stuff....the total picture, choreography, lighting, costume, staging and world class full speed dancers. I love the refreshing new to me...world class pieces that are performed by this company.
Gaddis has brought out the best that this theatre can offer with his hard work, staging and creatitivy. Only great....the works make me feel good...the extreme compliment I can pay to the dancers.
EMERGENCE....9 dancers, beautiful string music in the background, spotlight and horizontal lighling, costumed and full speed.
PORTRAITS....it got better, just five dancers here with exquisite lines and one number counts, only wonderful.
SACRIFUS....Gaddis choreography, 3 great pairs in this at the start and finish with the three girls doing a quick lift of the guys...sensual intergal tones, beautiful, black, brown and white images...it was great.
PHIB....Gaddis choreography...it still gets better...nine frogs with crickets and flies and wonderful costumes...just lovely crativity...I seen this one before and hope I will again.
6 minutes late is all that prevents this from a perfect score....they need to somehow reach the public with this great stuff and may with a performance next year at the Smith Center. Type in Las Vegas Contemporty Dance Theatre and hope for scheduling, phone numbers and dates of future brilliance.
Bernard H Gaddis you remain one of my heroes....thank you for your efforts.
