VEGAS! The Show
tells the story of the most dynamic and exciting entertainers to ever set foot
in Las Vegas including The Rat Pack, Louis Prima & Keely
Smith, and Elvis. Featuring a cast of more than 40 singers, dancers,
showgirls and a live big band orchestra, it’s the very best of Las Vegas all in
one show.
During the grand opening celebration on August 5, 2010,
Mayor Oscar Goodman presented a proclamation to Producer David Saxe and
Director/Choreographer Tiger Martina, officially making it “VEGAS! The Show
Day.”
VEGAS! The Show
opens in the Neon Graveyard, a collection
of the most treasured signs from the Strip’s “glory days.” Ernie,
the protector of Las Vegas’ past, emerges from the shadows with a secret to
share. He’s then joined by ghosts of the graveyard who take the audience on a
musical journey to experience all of the glamour, beauty, sex appeal,
extravagant costumes and live music that made Vegas… Vegas.
The show was written and developed by David Saxe, a leader in the Las
Vegas entertainment industry, who launched his first show on the Strip at the
age of 17, making him the youngest show producer in the city’s history.
Saxe was born into showbiz. His mother was a dancer in
Les Folies Bergere and his father, a bandleader. “I
literally grew up backstage and have spent the last 25 years working to preserve
the type of entertainment that made Vegas… Vegas,” said Saxe.
“This show is my dream come true.”
The director and choreographer of the show, Tiger
Martina, worked side by side with Saxe to bring the “glory days” of Vegas to
life, utilizing his vast experience on Broadway and in feature film. Martina is
also credited with choreographing large-scale, nationally televised events on
the major networks.
Earlier this year, VEGAS! The Show swept the
annual BroadwayWorld.com awards,
winning “Best Show in Las Vegas,” “Best Band,” “Best Performance by a Lead Actor
in a Musical,” and “Best Performance by a Lead Actress in a Musical.”
VEGAS! The Show
runs twice nightly at 7 and 9 o’clock. For more information, log
