V The Ultimate Variety Show Celebrating 10 Years on the Las Vegas Strip
Las Vegas, NV, September 10, 2012:
The
Las Vegas show that has “something for everyone” will be celebrating its 10 year
anniversary on September
12th.
V The Ultimate Variety Show features an ingenious collection of specialty acts from
comedy and magic to acrobats that soar out over the crowd and routines so
difficult, no other performers in the world have been able to duplicate
them.
It has been an exciting year for V The Ultimate
Variety Show with a February appearance on Ellen and two new
acts joining the entertainment roster: daredevil duo, “The Skating
Aratas” – voted Best Specialty Act by Las Vegas Weekly Magazine -
and the most famous female magician in the world, “Melinda – First
Lady of Magic.”
Show producer David Saxe opened V The Ultimate
Variety Show at The Venetian Resort & Casino in 2002.
After two years of packed performances, Saxe decided to open his own
venue, V Theater, inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort &
Casino where the show continues to take the stage twice nightly at 7 and 8:30.
David Saxe is Las
Vegas’ most prolific producer with 12 shows currently running at Planet
Hollywood. You could even say show business is in his
blood. His mother was a dancer in Folies Bergere and his
father, a bandleader for The Rat Pack. Saxe literally
grew up backstage and launched his first show on the Strip at the age of 17
making him the youngest producer in Vegas’ history. “Specialty
acts were always my favorite part of the shows,” said Saxe. “I
created V The Ultimate Variety Show to showcase these amazing performers
so audiences could experience the best of the best all on one stage.”
During the last 25 years, Saxe has produced more than
100 shows in Las Vegas and all over the world. He opened a second
theater at Planet Hollywood in 2010, the Saxe Theater, home to VEGAS! The
Show, BeatleShow!, Michael Turco’s MAGIC & MAYHEM and most
recently, iCandy Burlesque THE SHOW.
