FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New Craze offers PBR fans $20,000 and a chance at $250,000
Air Bull Riding contest kicks off Aug. 15; Celebrates 20th Anniversary PBR World Finals
PUEBLO, Colo. (August 15, 2013) – Country music’s Cledus T. Judd invited the Professional Bull Riders to do it, and one lucky fan will win $20,000 just by doing it too.
It’s Air Bull Riding, the latest craze to sweep the PBR and bull riding arenas across the country.
Today, the PBR launches its inaugural Air Bull Riding contest – The Ride on to Vegas; Who Gives a Buck Challenge. One lucky fan will win $20,000 and a trip for two to the 2013 Built Ford Tough Series World Finals Oct. 23-27 in Las Vegas for the best air bull riding performance, and the chance to win $250,000.
From Aug. 15 - Sept. 30, fans are encouraged to videotape themselves “air bull riding.” Videos should then be uploaded to the contest web site – www.pbr.com/airbullride – where they can be shared and voted on by friends, family and site visitors. The contestant whose video receives the most votes will win $20,000 and a VIP trip for two to the World Finals.
The lucky winner will then have the chance to roll the dice to win an additional $250,000 while in Las Vegas. Instead of snake eyes or Lucky Seven, the fan must roll “B-U-L-L-S.” If successful, they will win a quarter of a million dollars.
During the recent filming of the music video for his song “Who Gives a Buck,” Judd invited fans and PBR bull Riders J.B. Mauney, Douglas Duncan and Ben Jones to just “Straddle it. Handle it. Cowboy up and show everybody who gives a buck.” You may have done it “Gangnam Style” or given a little “Harlem Shake,” now it’s time to “Air Bull Ride.”
Bull riders, fans, sports stars and the like have joined in the fun, performing their best rendition of air bull riding. Visit www.pbr.com/airbullride to see the videos and enjoy some of the PBR’s favorite bull riders, Mauney, Duncan and Jones, along with Cledus T. Judd as they show you how it’s done.
