Fall Concert Season 2013
Las Vegas NV, (November 8, 2013) – The Las Vegas Contemporary Dance Theater
wraps up its 2013 Season with a performance at The Smith Center for the Performing
Arts. LVCDT has been presenting exciting performances for the past seven years that
bring audiences to their feet. This season promises to be bold, exciting and fiery.
LVCDT was voted “Best Dance Company to Represent Las Vegas” two years in a row
by the Las Vegas Weekly Magazine.
Mr. Gaddis curates a spicy and dynamic program that will keep the audience on the
edge of their seats and shows just how versatile his dancers are.

Programming in order of the evening’s performance
Solstice choreographed by Bernard H. Gaddis embodies the essence of winter and
that one brief moment in time when snow blankets the earth and nature is at peace.
Music by George Winston.
Bad Blood premiered in 1984 choreographed by the legendary Ulysses Dove. Alvin
Ailey American Dance Theater was the first and only company to perform this virtuoso
work. The Las Vegas Contemporary Dance Theater will be the second company to
perform this iconic ballet. Music by: Laurie Anderson.
Crashing… Through (World Premier) choreographed by Hope Boykin, principal dancer
with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, is a ballet about breaking through barriers
within society and oneself. Music by: Ensemble Resonance and John Metcalfe.
Firebird (World Premier), choreographed by Bernard H. Gaddis, was originally created
by Mikhail Fokine in 1910. Many versions of the beloved ballet have graced the stage
since. Mr. Gaddis brings a new, sexy, contemporary spin to the ballet while maintaining
its classical heritage. Maria Fernanda Vicuña-McGovern will be dancing the role of the
Firebird. Music by: Igor Stravinsky.
LVCDT, Las Vegas’ Leading Contemporary Dance Company, is best known for its
passionate and relatable repertoire. LVCDT has a dance style that is Classical, Modern
and Highly Athletic.
LVCDT continues to be a dynamic force on the Las Vegas cultural dance scene, by
bringing electrifying performances of neo-classical and modern ballets to the stage.
Gaddis’ company of dancers reflects the diversity of the local community and the
world at large.
