Git-R-Done in Pink

Larry the Cable Guy’s PBR bull joins the bull riders in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (Oct. 7, 2013) – Git-R-Done, the PBR bull owned by comedian Larry the Cable Guy in partnership with three-time PBR Stock Contractor of the Year Jeff Robinson, joined the Professional Bull Riders this past weekend in its efforts to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

At the Ft. Bragg Wounded Soldier Foundation Invitational at Crown Coliseum Saturday evening, Git- R-Done bucked out of the chutes to reveal a pink hide, newly tinted to show his support of the cause. “I was quick to say yes to the idea [painting Git-R-Done],” said Robinson. “As long as it didn’t cause him any harm, it was the least I could do for such a great cause. We just spritzed him a few times with a little semi-permanent spray hair dye and he was ready.”

Throughout the month of October, the PBR is encouraging its bull riders to don pink riding shirts and wear pink bandanas on Saturday nights at the remaining regular-season Built Ford Tough Series events to bring awareness to breast cancer. Fans are being urged to do the same. The riders will next express their support on Saturday, Oct. 12, in Hollywood, Fla., at the Cooper Tires Invitational, presented by Apex-Brasil, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

The three-day Cooper Tires Invitational on Oct. 11-13 is the last regular season event before the Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas, Oct. 23-27. It will also feature the last 15/15 Bucking Battle of the year on Saturday night, Oct. 12, showcasing the Top 15 bull riders against the Top 15 bulls for a round purse of $21,000 and double the points toward the overall world championship race.

The 15/15 Bucking Battle will air on CBS Network Television Sunday, Oct. 13, at 3 or 5 p.m. ET depending on the NFL game in the region. Fans are advised to check their local listings for more details. Round 3 of the Cooper Tires Invitational and the Built Ford Tough Championship Round will air on CBS Sports Network at 8 p.m. ET later that evening.

Hollywood, Fla., is the 26th of 27 stops on the 2013 BFTS. The PBR World Champion will be crowned two weeks later in Las Vegas where, after five rounds of competition and a championship round, the season’s overall winner will be determined and awarded the coveted championship belt buckle and a $1 million bonus.
