UNLV Chamber Music Series Hungarian Masterworks   We are excited about our next concert! Members of the School of Music faculty perform Hungarian favorites by Franz Liszt, Béla Bartók, György Ligeti, Johannes Brahms and others. Thursday, February 9, 2017 7:30pm Doc Rando Recital Hall Beam Music Center University of Nevada, Las Vegas Performers Jennifer Grim, flute Stephen Caplan, oboe Marina Sturm, clarinet Janis McKay, bassoon Bill Bernatis, horn Weiwei Le, violin Andrew Smith, cello Linda Lister, soprano Mykola Suk, piano Timothy Hoft, piano Christina Wright-Ivanova, piano Program Ligeti: Six Bagatelles for Wind Quintet Lizst: Die Lorelei and Oh! quand je dors for soprano and piano Bartók: Contrasts for clarinet, violin, and piano Kodaly: Sonatina for cello and piano Kurtag: Remembrance Noise for soprano and violin Brahms: Hungarian Dances for piano 4 hands Tickets Tickets to all concerts are $25 and can be purchased in-person, on the phone or online through the Performing Arts Center Box Office, 895-ARTS (2787). Student rush tickets are $10 each, and available one hour prior to each event, based on availability and with valid student I.D. UNLV faculty and staff discounts also are available. The box office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Now in it's fifth year, the UNLV Chamber Music Series brings world renowned chamber musicians to the communities of Southern Nevada and UNLV. Co-sponsored by the School of Music and the Performing Arts Center, the series presents works from the standards of the classical literature to exciting new music written in the last fifty years.   Support the UNLV Chamber Music Series!
