A small but vocal crowd saw competitive racing at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway's Bullring on Saturday, June 2, 2018. The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Event No. 6 featured 8 races.
Winning the 12 lap USLCI Bandolero Outlaws Feature was #14 Amilleo Thomson (Las Vegas, NV) . Two seconds behind Amilleo was #77 Cameron Guy (Las Vegas, NV), and taking third place was #88 Cody Brown (Las Vegas, NV).
The 12 lap USLCI Bandolero Bandits Feature was totally dominated by #35G Landon Gresser (Henderson, NV), followed by #72 Owen Romzek (Las Vegas, NV) and #5 Sabastian Lafia (North Las Vegas, NV).
Fourteen cars started the 25 lap NASCAR Bombers Feature. #911 Vinny Raucci, Jr. (Las Vegas, NV) took the trophy. Second place went to #31 Tim Maserang (St. George, UT), followed by #4 Kyle Jacks (Las Vegas, NV).
Next up were the crowd -pleasing Skid Plate Cars Feature with 13 cars trying to complete 15 laps. Racer X again came out on top, with #19 William Good (Las Vegas, NV) and #16 James Brazzeal (St. George, UT) following Racer X across the finish line.
14 cars raced for 25 laps, with no restarts, for an exciting USLCI Legends Feature. #9 Jason Irwin (Albuquerque, NM) led the entire race and won for the third time this season. Jason is 6th in all time winners at the Bullring. 2nd place went to #98 Jace Jones (Scottsdale, AZ), followed by #5P Parker Steele.
Another race with no restarts was the 25 lap NASCAR Super Stocks Feature. With his first victory of the season, #48 Mason Sargent (Las Vegas, NV) in his 1985 Monte Carlo took the lead in the final lap from #29J Sam Jacks (Las Vegas, NV). Taking 3rd place was #21 Matt Larsen (St. George, UT).
The 35 lap NASCAR Modifieds Feature was won by #4X Doug Hamm (North Las Vegas, NV) for his 50th career win at the Bullring. Doug joins Scott Gafforini, Phil Goodwin, Dustin Ash and Justin Johnson in the 50 win group. 2nd place went to #14X Brian Reed (Las Vegas, NV) and coming in 3rd was #54 Cameron Morga.
The final race of the evening was the 50 lap NASCAR Super Late Models Feature. The winning driver was #92 Jimmy Parker, Jr.(Las Vegas, NV). 2nd place went to #5 David Anderson (North Las Vegas, NV) and coming in 3rd was #38 Scott Gafforini (Henderson, NV).
