2018 U.S. Legends Asphalt Nationals Features

The weather was beautiful, lots of fans showed up, 

but unfortunately the racing was hard to enjoy.  Too 

many restarts, too many accidents, and too many 

delays.  It was frustrating to witness the best racers

from around the country wasting time with poor

driving, or perhaps, poor planning by the race teams.

When it takes an hour or more to race 35 laps it's

tough to watch.  When this happens in more than 

one race, it makes me shake my head in amazement!

Here's the results for Saturday afternoon's races:

Master's B Feature, 25 laps--Finishing in 1st place

was #13A, Andy Hulcy (Plano, TX), followed by 

#15C, Danny Cisson, and #5F, Steve Fensler.

Pro B Feature, 25 laps--Winning this race was 

#71D, Derek Lemke; taking 2nd was #4FR, Brady

Fox-Rhode; 3rd place went to #66C, Kyle Clegg.

Bandolero Bandits Feature, 20 laps--The winner

was #78, Brody Moore, followed by #57, Hank Hall

and #5, Sabastian Lafia (North Las Vegas, NV).

Bandolero Outlaws Feature, 20 laps--#50, Chloe

Lynch (North Las Vegas, NV) took first place.  2nd

went to #38, Ethan DeGuevara (Las Vegas, NV)

with #19, Haylee Morris coming in 3rd.

Thunder Cars Feature, 25 laps--With only 2 cars 

in this race, you would think it would be boring, but

on the last lap, #42, Chris Bosley (Las Vegas, NV)

flew past the leader for 24 laps, #22, Ed Hohman 

(Henderson, NV) for an awesome finish.  Thanks 

guys!

But that was the end of the excitement for us.  The

next races were difficult to watch, with many delays.

Young Lions Nationals Feature, 35 laps--Ending

up in first place was #25G, Jaron Giannini (Henderson,

NV), followed by #52NH, Jake Matheson (Hillsboro,

NC) and #97S, Daniel Silvestri (Great Falls, VA).

Semi-Pro Nationals Feature, 35 laps--At the end, 

the winner was #18M, Connor Mosack (Charlotte, NC)

followed by #29D, DJ Canipe, and #00D, Drew Dollar

(Atlanta, GA).

Masters Nationals Feature, 35 laps--Taking 1st 

place was #13B, Tim Brockhouse (Shakopee, MN)

followed by #32SA, Scott Anderson (Austin, TX) and

#23S, Shaun Buffington (Plainfield, CT).

Pro Nationals Feature, 35 laps--Winning was #12,

Carson Ferguson (Lincolnton, NC), followed by 

#9I, Jason Irwin (Albuquerque, NM) and #0C, Robert

Czub (Rocklin, CA).

Concluding the 2918 season at the Las Vegas Motor 

Speedway's Bullring is the West Coast Short Track

Championships on November 17, 2018.  Races

will include the SRL SPEARS Southwest Tour

Series, Lucas Oil Modified Series, USAC HPD

Midget Series, and the Jr. Late Models.
