The Annual Holiday Show, 2018
Celebrate the Holiday Season with Legends in
Concert at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
These special concerts began on November 19 and
continue through December 30, 2018.
The opening night performance included guest
appearances by the Coronado High School Madrigal
Choir and the Southern Nevada Academy of Dance.
Each of the Holiday shows will include local singers
and other local performing arts groups.
This year's shows feature the legends of Aretha
Franklin (Denita Asbury), Bruce Springsteen (Matt
Ryan), Garth Brooks (Dean Simmons) and Bruno
Mars (Isaiah). Each of the legends will include at
least one holiday song in their routine onstage.
The talented performers were exciting to watch as
they recreated the best of the music in their careers.
The musicians, backup singers and awesome dancers
added spectacle to the show. The details of each
onstage presence was spot-on, including the quick
costume changes for the dances. What a joy it was
to see such professionalism and talent. The only
disappointment was the use of the young elf at
the beginning of the show. His monologue did
not contribute anything to the event. In fact, he was
difficult to understand, as his enunciation and/or the
mike work was lacking. Half of his monologue was
lost. This act could easily be cut, and in fact, was
difficult to watch.
Overall, the evening was entertaining and well-worth
the special holiday price ($35.00) available by using
