PRCA names new CFO

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The PRCA is proud to announce it has hired Kirk LaPoure as its Chief Financial Officer.

LaPoure brings with him 25 years of experience both in the not-for-profit and commercial sectors.

“We are extremely excited to bring Kirk on board,” PRCA CEO George Taylor said. “The diversity of his work experience will be a huge benefit to the PRCA and its members.”

LaPoure has spent the last 12 years as Executive Director of Finance and Controller with Focus on the Family in Colorado Springs, Colo. He holds an MBA from Regis University in Finance and Accounting and a BS in Finance from Metropolitan State University of Denver. His professional experience extends to not-for-profit, retail, wholesale and construction industries.

“It’s a great opportunity and honor for me to join George Taylor and the executive team and staff as CFO at the PRCA,” LaPoure said. “I’m excited to be a part of such a great organization.”

LaPoure, whose official start date is Jan. 7, 2019, will travel to Las Vegas for the start of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo and several PRCA events surrounding the Wrangler NFR.

LaPoure, his wife, Janene, and their three children – a daughter and two sons – live in Colorado Springs and enjoy numerous activities, including soccer, skiing and fishing.
