LAS VEGAS BULLRING RESULTS

Las Vegas Motor Speedway-Bullring

It was Fall Classic Night at the LVMS

Bullring track on October 12.  With only

four races, the evening focused on race

length, with 50 laps or more for each

race.  Everything possible seemed to

have occurred this evening, making

for unpredictable race results.

The next race at the Bullring will be on

Saturday, November 23, 2019, the West

Coast Short Track Championships.  The

evening will feature SPEARS Southwest

Tour Series Championship, SPEARS

Modified Series Championship, Late

Model Truck Series Championship, and

Jr. Late Models Championship.

As usual, children age 12 and under will

get in free, if accompanied by a ticketed

adult.

Advance tickets and more information can

be found at LVMS.com.

Late Models Feature, 100 laps

13 cars started the race. With 4 caution flags,

and with caution laps counting, the race’s

interruptions allowed several cars to work

their way to the front.  The last two laps

were crazy, with race leader #31 Eric

Nascimento (Manteca, CA) getting pushed

out of first place by #7 Tyler Reif (Henderson,

NV).  Taking the checkered flag, with a

damaged front end was 12 year old Tyler Reif.

2nd place went to #49 Warren Knipper (Las

Vegas, NV), followed by Eric Nascimento.

#5 David Anderson (North Las Vegas, NV)

finished in 5th place with Jace Jones

taking 6th.

Super Stocks Feature, 50 laps—

13 cars started this race also.  #29 Sam

Jacks (Las Vegas, NV) led the entire

race.  Even though #21 Camden Larsen

spun out #49 Fred Kiser Jr. (Las Vegas,

NV) on the final corner, Kiser was awarded

2nd place.  3rd place went to #13X Jim

Merlino followed by #77 Michael Nicks.

602 Modifieds Feature, 100 laps—

16 cars started the Modifieds race.

Lap 59 was a major turning point with

race leader #4X Doug Hamm (North Las

Vegas, NV) stopping in turn 2 and a red

flag coming out while liquid was removed

from the track.  Before the race was

restarted, Hamm left the track, but returned,

and went to the back of the pack.  Lap 62

ended with 2 cars colliding at the front

straight way.  #84 Eddie Secord (Oak Hills,

CA) took the lead, finishing in first

place for his first career Modified win.  He

was followed by #11C Dylan Cappello,

#4x Doug Hamm (North Las Vegas, NV),

and #56 Jacob Bishop (Las Vegas, NV).

Super Late Models Open Comp Feature,

150 laps (refueling break at 75 laps)—

20 cars started this race.  #8 Noah

Gragson (Las Vegas, NV) started on the

pole.  At lap11, #48 Preston Peltier took

over. Lap 28 took out several cars at turn

4 and left debris on the track.  Out went

#43 Tanner Reif (Henderson, NV), and

#77 Johnny Spilotro (Las Vegas).

Gragson left at lap 38, returned to the

track after an adjustment and re-started

again at the back of the pack.  Leading at

the time of the refueling break, and

eventually taking the checkered flag

and the $10,000 check was #48 Preston

Peltier.

SEE YOU AT THE RACES!
