LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY-BULLRING
The Annual “Night of Fire” celebration
brought out a large crowd to see the action on
the Bullring track and the awesome fireworks
in the sky.
Sponsored by Star Nursery, the evening’s
racing ended with wins to familiar faces AND
to some young racers on Sunday, July 3rd.
Winners of Round 7 of the Star Nursery
Championship Series were:
M&H Building Specialists/JBM Underground
USLCI Bandolero Feature-12 laps:
Taking the checkered flag for the 3rd time
this season was #8-Ryan Shank (Barstow,
CA). He was followed by Logan Gresser and
Joseph Montoya.
Skid Plate Cars Feature-15 laps:
Twelve cars started the race, and the win
went (AGAIN) to #24-R.J. Smotherman
(Pahrump, NV). Finishing in 2nd place was
Robert Leany followed by Jeff Dailey.
NASCAR Nostalgia Street Rods Outlaw
Factory Stocks Feature-25 laps:
Winning for the first time of the season was
#44-Jacob Quartaro (Las Vegas, NV).
Taking 2nd place was #4-Kyle Jacks (Las
Vegas, NV), followed by Michael Miller.
NASCAR Super Stock Feature-25 laps:
After 10 laps of exciting action and with only
.298 seconds to spare, the win went to
veteran driver Justin Johnson.
#4-Sam Jacks (Las Vegas, NV) had to settle
for 2nd place, followed by Mike McKearn.
Late Model Truck Series Feature-35 laps:
Taking the lead on lap 12 and never giving it
up was David Levitt (Sierra Vista, CA). Less
than half a second behind was Mark Allison.
Finishing in 3rd place was Stan Mullis.
USLCI M&H Building Specialists/JBM
Underground Legends Feature-30 laps:
Winning for the 2nd time in 2022 was #7-Tyler
Reif (Henderson, NV). He was closely
followed by #12-Jordan Holloway (Henderson,
NV). Finishing in 3rd place was Amileo
Thomson.
NASCAR Power Grand Inc 602 Modified
Feature-35 laps:
Winning for the 4th time in 2022 was veteran
#4X-Doug Hamm (North Las Vegas, NV).
The race for 2nd place was captured by
Jared Giannini, followed by Kayli Barker.
NASCAR Sigma Performance Services Pro
Late Models Feature-50 laps:
Winning for the 4th consecutive time was
#11-Dustin Ash (Las Vegas, NV). He was
followed by Jonathan Mawhinney and Matt
Frady Jr.
Before the grand fireworks display, a
“Waterless Boat” race featured 8 cars chained
to old boats. After much destruction, only 2
cars were still running at the end of the time
limit. The “race” was won by Berenice
Hernandez, followed by Tommy Suell.
The next Bullring race will be the annual
“Spencer Clark Driven Night” on Saturday,
September 24. Spencer Clark was a young
racer who was killed In a highway incident in
2006. Round 8 of the Star Nursery Series will
start at 7 PM, with the gates opening at 5 PM.
As usual, children age 12 and under will be
admitted free with a ticketed adult. Tickets
can be purchased in advance by visiting
