Las Vegas Sinfonietta to present an exquisite program featuring music composed for string sextets a part of “Up Close and Personal” music series. The program to include String Sextet from “Capriccio” by Richard Strauss, String Sextet No 2 in G Major by Johannes Brahms and “Transfigured Night” by Arnold Schoenberg. The performers are: Alex Dzyubinsky, Taras Krysa and Nataliya Karachentseva-violin, Hanna Suk and Omar Shelly-viola, Svetlana Garitselova, Jorge Maresch and Andrew Smith-cello. The concert will be held on Sunday Afternoon, February 19, 3 pm at the Clark County Library Theater located at the 1401 East Flamingo road, Las Vegas, NV, 89119. Tickets are $35 for adults and $15 for students. When purchasing student ticket use code STU. Children under 12 receive free admission. The Las Vegas Sinfonietta (LVS) was founded by a passionate group of professional musicians, dedicated to performing classical repertoire from the Baroque to works by contemporary composers. Its mission is to provide captivating performances of classical music throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Since its founding in 2019, the chamber orchestra has grown to nearly 30 members, who pursue parallel careers as leading performers of nationally recognized orchestras, as eminent chamber musicians or as professional tutors of music. The LVS regularly features outstanding soloists and exceptional guest conductors. The orchestra is led by Artistic Director Taras Krysa. Mr. Krysa has established a reputation for innovative and inspiring music-making and leadership throughout the United States and Europe, most recently as the Music Director and Conductor of the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra – the oldest professional orchestra in the Ukraine.
