THE LAST MAD MAN OF ROCK AND ROLL

That's Paul Revere and the Raiders. An old rock n roll band!

I don't have too many heros in life, Winston Churchill, Paul MacCartney, Itzak Perlman, Wayne Gretzky, Bill Clinton, Neil Sedaka, Jack Basner and Dick Davenport. People who have given me entertainment, freedom or friendship, at a superlative level. Paul Revere is on the list.

Here is an Idaho boy who started a band 50 years ago and at 69 is still rocking, still having fun and still entertaining at a high personal level. Lets laugh a little. Needless to say some of the Raiders have changed, Ron Foos and Doug Heath began playing guitar together in the seventh grade in Seattle and after 40 or so years are still playing together as Raiders. Omar Martinez was their drummer for over 20 years as was lead singer Carl Driggs, both recently retired, both Hall of Famers in my book. Dan Krause is doing keyboards for over 20 years with Paul, while Darrin Medley as lead vocal and drummer Ron Fetakias have joined up the last few years. Boy do these guys have fun, Paul entertains the band, the comradarie and warmth inside the group transfers to wonderful audience interaction, we are connected.

Paul says we have not had a hit in 40 years, that and their cute suits, three cornered hat and constant smiles play pretty strong to me over 25
years of my being a fan.

15 July at Harrahs in Laughlin Nevada, this my most recent review for Paul, nice showroom, good set, good sound, 4 shows in two nights playing to us old rockers. On top of all the nonsense they are solid tight band.

Harrahs, is way at the south end of the Laughlin gaming strip and down hill, lots of their business coming on tours from California and the midwest. My brother actually is an Iowa customer of Harrahs and they fly two out from Omaha with free rooms and free food, damn good deal for every body.

September 21 22 23 Suncoast Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas is next up for me and Paul Revere, the group has a great web site and plays a national schedule every year. paulrevereraiders.com. This last show started on time and went 1 hour on a two show night, money well spent and thru the years I enjoyed this one maybe in the top 10 of the 50 or so I have seen, only 90 miles from Las Vegas to Laughlin.

101 A+ its personal.....still rocking at 69, I always want there to be a Paul Revere in my life. Thanks paul.
