Las Vegas Broadway

One of my problems is too much to see, they often schedule events at the same time limiting my fun and causing stressful deliberation in editing my time.

Such was the case 6 July, Friday, boxing and Broadway Vignettes. Location, availability and timing allowed me to double dip.

Once again Las Vegas has so much to offer and on a smaller scale, library
auditoriums, community centers and suberb venues offer varied programming. Such the case at the wonderdful Starbright Theatre in Summerlin. The damn thing is almost in Reno but I made the effort.
Well worth it in this case, Helen Joy's Young Entertainers third annual show for all ages. Pretty much kids doing broadway music, and not bad.
Music itself from lots of Broadway shows put on with some aggressive production, Wizard of Oz, Judy had the blue and white dress, proper hair and the red shoes, showed me a lot and a lot of effort. Kids from 5 to 19, some better than others obviousoly and some darling 6 year olds well costumed and showing some teaching effort. I loved it !
Some of audio was too loud, some of the music was too good, and the effort was they, they started on time. B 85 THANK YOU
Boxing at the Orleans, Crown boxings monthly card, I left Broadway at intermission (you know what intermission is don't you, TIME TO LEAVE)
and drove 20 miles to hit intermission at the boxing. An excellent match 130 pounds, Johnny "The Cobra" Taunton 4-0-1 unanimous six round decision over Thomas Bernal 3-3-2. Hell of a fight, both guys banged all 6 rounds and Bernals left eye closed in the third, he keep going, what boxing should be, great effort, even enought competition and a free T-shirt and free lunch. Needless to say they started 14 minutes late and the main event did nothing for me after three rounds. C+ 77
