Here is some thing dear to my heart and very personal. THE DAY THE MUSIC DIED, the theme from Don McLean's classic American Pie. It is less than 18 months to the 50th anniversary of 3 FEB 1959, Clear Lake Iowa, Surf ballroom, winter dance festival, if there is a 50 year reunion I am going!
This production differing some from the previous two I have seen but the story line the same, the music all written by Buddy Holly, great and the production first class, it started on time.
Peggy Sue, That Will be the Day, Rave On, True Love Ways, this is music from heaven all done in this way too short lifetime. Buddy Holly was 23 and is in the rock n roll hall of fame.
