YOUTH ON STRINGS

STILL TBCOTA

At the Summerlin library theatre young people playing classic music.
Violins, chello, base and piano, what more do you want?

What a deal this was, .....free, started on time with 10 pieces of classical music played by teenagers, what poise, what talent, what potential, what class, what innocence, what a night. I loved it and am sending them a check as a supporter of community chamber music. To the best of my unprofessional ear this was quality music, I can tell a screech or two when I hear one and didn't get many negatives this night.

The Las Vegas Academy high school provides and trains many of these young people in their highly specilized fields and this program gives them a place to perform, nice crowd too, they need the exposure and setting and such programs give them a chance. The world needs more violin players and less football players, lots of oriental kids playing, I salute them and their parents who obviously provide the best direction for their young people.

This is part of I hope the Las Vegas Chamber Music Society, bravo!
96 A+
