LONE STAR & LAUNDRY AND BOURBON

What the hell is this ?

A nice play by author James McLure done in the junior high theatre part of the Las Vegas Little Theatre studio. This company in the phone book, go to these shows. Here is yet another perfect example of, try it you might like it !

I did !

Really swell script, three guys and three gals, interesting enought all the girls in the first half of the show and all the guys in the second half. Story of love, life, Viet Nam (me) and Texas (early 70's). Real dialogue and really well done I loved actor Sam Craner and his work here. All the actors were good and the theme of this,... as an example played white trash Texas mother of three against Country Club society chamber of commerce society wantabe, the came on wearing the same dress. God it was beautiful, needless to say they had a lot of fun with this, the dresses did not exactly fit each woman the same, you had to be there and you should be.

LVLT and its new big auditorium which my wife hated for the cramped seating not a problem here in this comfortable 50 seat annex, I went for the show and totally enjoyed it. Started late and interestingly enough had some great preshow music, Roger Miller's King of Road which they cut off at the start and in intermission some awful loud awful Jazz (Jazz is all awful) followed by Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire which fit perfectly in the show for the one woman and I who sat thru intermission. What was the production staff thinking ? If at all ?

This show a winner ! A- 90 good hardworking actors who knew their lines and told the story.
