What was wrong with this show, absolutely nothing.
Glad I lived long enough to see and hear Ray Price !
Now 81 and still touring and still singing great music this country music Hall of Famer did a Hall of Fame show for me at the Sante Fe Casino showrooom in Las Vegas, he has been here before and I hope to hell he comes back..... After hearing Frankie Laine's last show with his vocie gone I had to be pessimistic about an 81 year old singer. No problem.
Price played to a sold out crowd of people my age (white hair) in this nice pie shaped showroom with only one bar to hinder the ambience and thankfully no cocktail waitresses. Price came out on time with his son doing an opening act of 20 minutes and then we all enjoyed great country twang classics with this hall of famer, no horns and whistles, but wonderfully 4 strings and a bass, a couple of keyboards and a couple of guitars with one drummer that decided not to interfere or overpower the lyrics and there were plenty of tradiontal classic old county tunes here, 59 minutes of Ray Price.
For the Good times....an A+ 98 for this top line show.
