Ronn now 54 has a great history of performing before presidents and the world, he is now at the Luxor in Las Vegas for an 82 minute afternoon show that was 11 minutes late the day we went. Small upstairs theatre at the end of a long long long long long long winding uphill r0ad. What moron designed this adventure ?
What makes Ronn so great ? It is the total picture, great writing, lovely comedy and the subperb technician, I have seen this a number of times and I always tell people to sit in the front row so you can now see his lips do not move, and see it up close and personal !
This act has not changed a lot since he was on the Smotners Bros comedy tv show, and why should it, it is perfect the way it is. Kind of a small crowd, maybe a 100 in this extremely out of the way venue. Ronn was doing full houses at the Rio for five years and two shows daily at the Luxor until recentlly when he is now at one. In my personal taste for this, it is truly one of the great creative acts in the world with the best technician ever ad libbing and putting lots of personal energy into each show, again always the same, I hope to go again and you should too. A 100 A+ show at B= 89 for being 11 minutes late, I can't cut you any scoring slack just cause I love ya Ronn.
