Somewhere between 1797 and 1812 Beethoven wrote 10 violin and piano sonatas, obviously music for the ages.
Just recently I dropped Beethoven out of the my top five composetrs of all time to NO. 6, after this show he is almost back to NO. 5.
De Ann Letourneau, violin and Sandra Rivers, piano did NO. 1. NO. 6. and No.9.... the other seven will follow at later dates, I know what I like and I loved this, sounded great at the Starbright Theatre in Summerlin Las Vegas.
Always negatives, it started 7 minutes late, late seating and in a senior center theatre with all of our white hair group attendance some moron brought a three year old child to interrupt the mood. In the second half a cell phone went off and this jackoff not only did not shut it off, he carried it out ringing all the time. This group also thought it would be cool to applaud during movements of the recorded show. All of this should be punishable by death !
Ok the crowd never never makes it better and it is so easy, all they have to do is NOTHING !
Two highly skilled musicians playing the worlds great music, how I enjoyed it in this magnifcant theatre, must have been a 40 mile trip between venues last night with Tchaikovsky and today with Beethoven. How lucky my life is to get this back to back.
94 A, the audience act the reason for not a perfect score.
Went to the Palace Station LA Comedy club tonight, 3 guys one hour some nice writing and delivery....they started 6 minutes late 89 B+.
