A play written in 1977 by Joe Mantegna ! Maybe dated ! I wanted to like it ! Las Vegas Little Theatre needs great support and gets it from me for their efforts to do quality stuff.
Some issues here....started late....900 degrees in the theatre...uncomfortable seating....here again I carry in lots of history with the storyline . Bleacher Bums....I have umpired baseball for 50 years....I worked in the sports gaming industry for 22 years...I have some ideas about how both issues and combinations of both intertwine. Credability and accuracy are always themes I look for in theatre and the responsibilty is on the director not me to make the story true and believable.....this was kind of corny. A couple of charactors were over the top.
Anyway...the actors worked hard brought some smiles and did some character development...just looking at Jacqueline Fayeghi as Melody filled any voids in the action. She has a twin sister and they could have doubled the fun by putting both women in the play. It was the first perfomance by Fayeghi and she was totally believable and easy on the eyes.
This show has a week to run and I would recommend this, even if it was not for me 85 B
