MAGIC AT THE EDGE

by Ed Bruce edbrucevegas@yahoo.com

Lovely show !

Longtime Las Vegas (and the world of the orient) magacian Jeff McBride opening a 90 day run at the Palace Station......this venue's first real trip in the morass of competition on the strip. I have been a Palace Station patron since the Bingo Palace and I am hoping success for them and McBride. It will be a load !

Small showroom...... maybe 50..... in a 150 seat venue.....probable all locals with hotel promotions....the task is to get bodies in........their reward center told us it was a sellout.....I can only think those on the web free ticket game were no shows......I don't want to be negative I just report ! $50 a pop....five nights a week !

Anyway they started 7 minutes late with some pre show stichtk which I missed ! Fine show....production, presentation, timing, dark, good lighting, a tad loud with interesting music and lots of slight of hand about 68 minutes. NO boxes or escapes or tigers but great continuity and interaction.....McBrides big deal is masks which I really like and they are woven into the whole show.

I would reccomend this to the world and when Janet is entertained and enjoys it must really be good.

91 A-....lose 7 points for being 7 minutes late !
