Somewhere along the line of writing boxing stories in Las Vegas for 25 years Gary Shaw worked his way onto my shit list ! NO MORE ! ! ! !
Gary......thank you for the most efficiently run boxing card in my writing history ! Friday night at Primm, Nevada, Star of the Desert Arena. The boxing itself is what it is... and it was ok, as always some fighters better than others. The key here is how they ran the event, great arena, great seats and most importantly starting on time with no intermissions, no down time between fights, no rap music.....thusly the most efficient fan friendly event I have ever covered. This falls into the perfect event for my Entertainment News stories.....I enjoyed the evening tremendously....nice programs, nice staff, only one ring announcer and a four start evening.

Did see boxer-jewlery expert Floyd Mayweather there as a copromoter looking for his stash....a little dark side to all days. Had the usual controversial score cards on the main event this remains the toughest event judge in sports.....I did not score DeMarco-Reyes....I was too busy enjoying myself but the judges did not agree and this event brought the old Mexico versus Puerto Rico rivalry to a climax.
primmvalleyresorts.com making some positive contributions to this event and others they do...its 39 miles due south of Las Vegas on the freeway...37 minutes to fun.
