in 1966 I had 31 Johnny Cash albums, I had seen Johnny Cash in concert and not only had a taste for him I had some credible history. If you do a trbiute to the Beatles, Sammy or Johnny be true to the script, the music and the legend.....not here, thats my issue. If Ray would have simply done the music true to form it would have been perfect for me with a songbook of 100s of songs to do ....I only got 3 or 4 I wanted.
Don't think Johnny ever did a show with 14 guitars on stage with 8 "helpers" and the intrusion of other artists.....if Ray would come out alone and sing with no bullshit I think I could handle it.....the responsibilty to form is great for me with Johnny Cash !
Big crowd.... 3 minutes late and I was among the younger ones at the Charleston Heights art center.....nice big blue background with some history visuals which could be used better here.
I love this theatre and staff and the City of Las Vegas for this $5 show....budget crunch has hit hard here with a $1000 gate and whatever grants they had nobody made money here but I thank everyone for the effort.
