CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS HERE....but I will try !
49 years this show has run at the Tropicana....no more !
This with the exception of Jubilee at Ballys the last of great old headline productions ......and two nights before the finale it was as good as ever. I may not have seen this for a decade or so....how dumb my scheduling was....I will try to see everything once a year from now on.
This show had it all ! You start with the topless ladies I guess (not a bad place to start) and follow thru with all the elements !
First of two shows this night started on time...I'm guessing they always do ! The entire cast acted light they were enjoying the performance.....tons of posturing, parading and bandishing tits in great costumes with everyone hitting their marks.....what more is there ? Costumes and costume changes...great.....audio great...timing great...hitting cues great....color great...talent great....choreography great...lighting great and the effect they gave me..... great. If in 49 years of the Folies if you ever missed this you are a loser. There were specialty acts in the great old Las Vegas show tradition.....adagio dance (not enough)...chineses acrobats....and comedian-juggler closer Michael Holley. Again it has been awhile since I have seen Holley....what a pro, what an entertainer.....great comedy and juggling two bowling balls and an M & M.
I can't say anymore...its over...I am heart broken...the world has lost another legend !
