HOW CAN YOU GET ENOUGH OF THIS ?

Half a century ago Arthur Laurents wrote a book....Leonard Bernstein did some music...Stephen Sondheim wrote some lyrics and Jerome Robbins did the entire original production and choreography....and what has evolved thru the years and many interpretations is the the truly great American musical play...period.

HOW CAN YOU GET ENOUGH OF THIS ?

This is still the musical follow up to Romeo and Juliet...still an extravagant story so well told and still one of my favorites !

Now the Las Vegas Academy Theatre and the LVA Music and Dance Departments have combined for an all too short 9 shor run at the Lowden Theater for the Performaning Arts....7th Street downtown Las Vegas 800-585-3737

I would go again in a heartbeat...lovely convenient theatre with class.

These are high school students 70 of them with a full orchestra...the undertaking of this project almost a lifetimes work...thank you director Robert Connor.

My last viewing was at the Route 66 Casino theatre outside Albuquerque five years ago...big stage...live music only great...this just as good. I continue to be overwhelmed by the quality of work this company does and can do...just outstanding.

What's tell about the story ....you know the game and its perfectly produced here.

I always loved Rita Moreno to include her one woman show her five years ago and her role of Anita in this play....Racheld Richards stole the show here...Maria..Caitlyn Cypher was better than Natalie Wood on here best day and she could SING...I loved Yosef galindo as Action and lots of the leads were double cast for alternating nights so now I am pissed cause I didn't get to see everyone....how could they be better than the show I saw.

HOW CAN YOU GET ENOUGHT OF THIS ?

Not perfect...some sound cues and music...3 minutes late...too long of an intermission but not much.

I forget the dance and I love the ballet and really this thing a big ballet...well done here with the youth and choreography...costumes excellent and the committment to excellence just overpowering.

There is hope in the world that some parents and teachers are producing productive kids in Las Vegas ....thank you.
