world No.1 Kaique Pacheco (Itatiba ,
Pacheco emerged as the only
perfect rider in four rounds of intense
bull riding, including conquering
two-time World Champion Bull
SweetPro’s Bruiser
(D&H Cattle Co/Buck Cattle Co.) to become the
Last Cowboy Standing Saturday
night in Las Vegas .
It was the Brazilian
cowboy’s third consecutive win at
PBR’s most demanding Major.
Pacheco went 4-for-4 over the
weekend, including three rides on Saturday
night. He sealed his repeat
victory with an 88.5-point ride on Jack Shot
(D&H Cattle Company/David
Huffman) in Round 4. He received the highest
score of the night with 92.75
points courtesy of a monster ride in Round 3
on Bruiser.
Pacheco picked up a total 940
world points over the weekend, along with
a $160,291.67 check. More
importantly, the 23-year-old Brazilian took the
lead in the world standings from
fellow countryman Claudio Montanha Jr.,
who is now No. 2, and heads into
PBR’s summer break in the No. 1 spot.
“This is one of the hardest events
to win; to do it for a third time, it’s amazing,”
Pacheco said. “I’m happy to ride
all my bulls. That’s what I’m here for. Finding
out I’m now number one in the
world makes it even better.”

2016 PBR World Champion Cooper
Davis (Jasper, Texas )
finished in second
place after a 3-for-4 performance.
Davis tied with young gun Koal Livingston
\(Burleson , Texas )
for first place in Round 2 by riding Cool Customer (D&H
Cattle/Flinn) for 89 points. Davis was eliminated in
Round 4 by Chocolate Shake
(D&H Cattle Company) in 3.28
seconds.
No. 11 in the world standings to
No. 9.
2017 Rookie of the Year Jose
Vitor Leme (Ribas do Rio Pardo ,
Brazil ) ended
the weekend in third place overall
after being eliminated by Budakon (OK
Corralis/Gordon/Rike Ranch/D&H
Cattle Co) in Round 4. Leme leaves Las
Vegas
with 155 world points and
$8,041.67, and heads into the summer break holding
strong at No. 6 in the world
standings.
After an impressive weekend, Livingston ended Saturday night with a
fourth-place finish after his
Round 2 tie with Davis .
The young Texan was
eliminated in Round 3 when he was
bucked off by Canadian Mist (TNT
Bucking Bulls/Hart Cattle Co)
after 1.96 seconds. Livingston earned a total
115 points toward the world standings
and $8,000. After beginning the
weekend in the triple digits in
the world standings, he moved to the No. 55 spot.
2008 World Champion Guilherme
Marchi (Tres Lagoas , Brazil ) rounded out the
Top 5 in Las Vegas , picking up 75 points toward the
world standings and $4,125.
Marchi’s weekend ended when he was
bucked off by his Round 2 bull, M.A.G.A.
(TNT Bucking Bulls/ Hart Cattle
Co).
Budakon (OK
Corralis/Gordon/Rike Ranch/D&H Cattle Co) was named the YETI
“Built for the Wild” Bull of the
Event when he bucked off Leme after 3.09 seconds
to the tune of a 45.75-point bull
score in Round 4.
The 25th PBR: Unleash
the Beast will now go on hiatus for its annual summer
break before returning to action
in Tulsa , Oklahoma ,
Aug. 11-12 for the Express
Employment Professionals Classic
at the Osage Casino.
The event will open the gate on
the 10-event home stretch leading into the PBR’s
World Finals at Las Vegas ’ T-Mobile Arena Nov. 7-11, where
the 2018 PBR World
Champion will be crowned.
