More minuses than pluses !

The Nevada Conservatory Theatre at UNLV opened their season with this epic, 8 minutes late, a 19 minute intermission, it went til 1041, lots of dead time there, they supposedly had a talkback afterward, I was on the freeway fighting traffic. I had want to stay too, but the event wore me down.

The punchline here for me is, I didn't get it ? I saw the movie, I love Mozart and his music, but the story is Salieri. He had more dialogue than Richard lll, it was work staying with this and I did get some of it.

At UNLV's Judy Bally theatre they built a hall of fame set, with hall of fame costumes to include a duel background rotating drop scene, 10 by 20, really impressive. I liked the actors and the staging, they just did not get a story to me, I like to know more about who the good guys and bad guys are.

Mozart buried in paupers grave some where lived a really tragic life like so many creative artists, too bad. Glad I went. This really the arm of UNLV theatre and most of it is pretty good, not as good though as Annie Get Your Gun, but I am partial to the great musicals.

This was almost a Utah Shakespeare type quality production, good.
