Pretty much still my favorite of all the arts.
Music, dance, choreography, timing, atheticism, thinking, planning, practice, teamwork, attitude, venue, space, administration, promotion, history, contracting, scheduling.....WOW ! I got all this.
Nevada Ballet theatre in Las Vegas, just first class and proved it again at an outdoor stage in Summerlin. Started on time, nice narration by the director. This company does 4 or 5 shows each season with some specials and of course the multi show Nutcracker.
I left home on Friday night with the kids next door practicing their contemporary band music in the closed garage, it was loud enough to knock the plaster off the celing! I got to the ballet and it was Gerswhin, Bach and Mozart, boy what a step in the right direction for me !
This nice 90 minute program was beautifully danced and costumed (as always) to include a number of short paus and solos with Gerswhin music.
I only had to hush two groups of morons who came to the pavillion to discuss their insignificant lives rather than to enjoy this lovely performance. Had a chance to meet companys PR specialist Jennifer Kratochwill who I hope stays just the way she is !
An A+ 100 evening for me, when is the next show?
