What a deal this was !
Nationally know writer Mitch Albom spoke to mostly Henderson Library patrons Sunday afteroon at their marvolus outdoor facility under one of the most perfect days in the history of the earth. What a setting, author, arena, atmosphere and talk. Perfect. This was sort of..... or pretty much a booksigning library marriage. Remember all the words are there all you have to do is put them in the creative meaninful order.
Albom of course the author of Tuesdays with Morrie and now The Five People You Want to Meet in Heaven, gave a great talk about life, love, library, history and himself, it was uplifting and emotional and one of those special events that made me happy to be there and happy to be alive. Albom asked the audience if any had read his book and I was the only one who had not! Albom signed for everybody for almost two hours. We saw the play Tuesdays with Morrie at another library convention in Albuquerque this spring and it was a wonderfully produced play, gave me a lot of pregame on his talk. I really liked the actor that played Albom and the author was hard pressed to present an equally postive image.....BUT HE DID. Albom took no questions and was rushed for scheduled events on this trip, his first to Las Vegas, too bad.
What great entertainment. A+ 100 COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER. Remember... go... do see, take a chance on everything you might find some real gems, I do.
