DOUBLEHEADER ON TUESDAY

The Las Vegas Hilton major showroom hosts a game show six days a week with alternating hosts of some repute, we went. They started 5 minutes late, 200 or 300, mostly free off the internet ticketing, good fast production, 80 minutes, some fun, .......like they would pull my number out of the drum and call me on stage for a shot at $250,000...lots of blind luck dumb games, but sort of fun. 89 B+

Move to A+ 94. Community College band concert, North Las Vegas Campus, classical band horns and winds, any day you hear Mozart is a good day! 6 minute delay and a 16 minutes (short) intermission, I still find it hard to grasp the need for and intermission that includes 64 minutes of program.

The deal hear is director, founder, chair, leader and Big Kahuana Dr Richard McGee who leads the parade, conducts the band, selects the music and gives great play by play about the music (all 6 pieces). McGee is everywhere and has been everywhere, he writes the program information about the classical pieces for the Las Vegas Philharmonic and has me believing he helped Tchaikovsky write the Nutcracker, what great background on this great music. Salute!
