DIXIE DOOLEY

Lots of negatives here, this is not David Copperfield, Rick Thomas, Dirk Arthur, Lance Burton or even Steve Wyrick ! It is magician Dixie Dooley at the Royal Hotel in Las Vegas in a showroom that is sort of the back of a bar....maybe 50 seats....too late, too dark and not loud enough. Started at 708 and was over at 752 !

Dixie claims he has been in Las Vegas for 30 years, probably true, I was disappointed in seeing him at this level. Not all bad, some nice slight of hand and a most personable wife-assistant, nothing special, with a couple of "how did he do thats" ! Hot as hell in the room, D 64.

Thursday NASCAR ran some of their transporters down the strip.....not all transporters, I was sort of expecting them all ! A lovely day for traffic, more motocycle cops than rigs, evidentally it was not a requirement from NASCAR. MANDALAY BAY to SAHARA the window, 245 to 400. I was at the Mirage, first one passed at 341...last at 349, an eight minute parade, but at least a first and unique...THE NASCAR 400 ON SUNDAY WILL BE BETTER ! ! ! B- 80
