Classical

by Ed Bruce edbrucevegas@yahoo.com

Performing Arts Society of Nevada Brown Bag Concerts Sunday at the Clark County Library Theatre, East Flamingo, Las Vegas.

Super Sensational !

Lee Richey, Cellist, assistant principal with the Las Vegas Philharmonic and Pianist Philip Fortenberry, associate conductor for Jersey Boys at the Palazzo.....what credentials, what talent, what music .....just great stuff and great sound....piano and cello. Five pieces, all classical and an encore from Tchiakovsky....what could be better? This music and these two artists just appeared to be in harmony and this was their moment....nice crowd ...more to come.... call 658 6741

To illustrate that there are still endless ways to irritate me at the concert try this one. An aged couple has a DOG with them....ok...maybe necessary...did not appear to be a German Shepard eye dog.....the dog has a bell collar and needs to scratch with his hind foot....its three rounds of jingle bells during a chello highlite ! Where do these assholes sit....well of course right behind me....and they could not have cared one way or the other. At halftime I moved to the opposite side of the theatre.....we got another round of this from a 100 feet away ! HOW do they find me? Also had the text phone video...I closed my eyes and tried to enjoy the music. There should be qualifications for attending world class events like this one !

an A+ 100 event the artists cannot be responsible for the crowd !

Sunday night comedian Dennis Miller at the Orleans....finished in 51 minutes to a packed house...brilliant mind, great writer, and at 54 a great history 100 A+
